Neurosurgical consultation

A specialist assessment of your symptoms and findings. We discuss treatment options and help you understand the next steps.

What to expect at your consultation

We begin by discussing your symptoms, how long you have had them, previous treatment and your general health. This is followed by a focused clinical examination and review of your available medical records.

MRI and CT findings are considered alongside your symptoms. A change on a scan is not always the cause of your symptoms or a reason for surgery.

We explain the recommended approach, its potential benefits and its risks. Depending on the findings, this may involve monitoring, non-surgical treatment, further investigations or consideration of surgery.

A second opinion

A consultation can also help you clarify an existing treatment recommendation, understand the options for surgery or discuss an alternative approach. Please bring all available reports and images.

Before your visit

Frequently asked questions

Does a consultation mean I need surgery?

No. The aim is to identify the most appropriate approach for you. Non-surgical treatment is considered first for many conditions.

Can I bring only the written MRI report?

The report is useful, but the actual images are important for assessing the findings. Bring them on an available medium or ask in advance how they can be made accessible.

Is the consultation covered by health insurance?

Endo-Clinic does not have contracts with health insurance companies. Outpatient consultations are paid for directly by the patient according to the published fees.

What if my condition suddenly gets worse?

For sudden limb weakness, speech or consciousness problems, or a sudden exceptionally severe headache, call 155 or 112 in Slovakia. Do not wait for an outpatient appointment.
